How many lives do you need to live before you find someone worth dying for?
In the aftermath of what happened at Sword & Cross, Luce has been hidden away by her cursed angelic boyfriend, Daniel, in a new school filled with Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans. Daniel promises she will be safe here, protected from those who would kill her. At the school Luce discovers what the Shadows that have followed her all her life mean – and how to manipulate them to see into her other lives. Yet the more Luce learns about herself, the more she realizes that the past is her only key to unlocking her future … and that Daniel hasn’t told her everything. What if his
version of the past isn’t actually the way things happened … what if Luce was really meant to be with someone else?

I really enjoyed this book! It was interesting although I felt that it could be a little repetitive at times. I didn’t like how there were so many useless arguements between some of the characters. I really like Lauren Kate’s angel ideas and concepts. She also does an amazing job at character development and moving the plot along. Torment’s plot moved a lot faster than Fallen’s and there was more action in it as well. In this book Luce starts to look more into her past and learns more about her part to play in the whole mess. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series Passion. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with action, romance, suspense, mystery, and fantasy.

There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at Sword & Cross boarding school in Savannah. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are screwups, and security cameras watch every move.
Except Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce—he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret … even if it kills her.

I really enjoyed this book and the plot of it. Although some of it could be easily guessed. The characters were very intersting and I feel that they were well developed and all of them had their own personalities. I like Luce although sometimes she can be really dumb and slow to get the point most of the time she was witty and feisty. I feel like Lauren Kate will continue to develop her and all of the other characters in the next books. This book was really slow through most of it with a lot of the action happening in the last couple of chapters. But I still enjoyed it. Fallen did leave a lot of questions unanswered but i feel like they will be explained in the next book. I have seen a lot of bad reviews from people and this is just my opinion so no hate please. I’m excited to start reading the next book in this series Torment. I definitely recommended this book to teens who like books with romance, suspense, action, and fantasy in them. #fallenseries #laurenkate #torment #fallen #Luce #romance #suspense #action #fantasy #teenbookreviews #teenbooks #yabooks #books #bookreviews
So yeah… I’m so sorry for my lack of reading and I’ll try to get better so expect a review for The Kill Order in the next couple weeks… hopefully. #readingfunk #TheKillOrder #bookreviews
Thomas knows that Wicked can’t be trusted, but they say the time for lies is over, that they’ve collected all they can from the Trials and now must rely on the Gladers, with full memories restored, to help them with their ultimate mission. It’s up to the Gladers to complete the blueprint for the cure to the Flare with a final voluntary test.
What Wicked doesn’t know is that something’s happened that no Trial or Variable could have foreseen. Thomas has remembered far more than they think. And he knows that he can’t believe a word of what Wicked says.
The time for lies is over. But the truth is more dangerous than Thomas could ever imagine.
Will anyone survive the Death Cure?

This book had all kinds of twists and turns. There were a lot of times that I was very surprised with what happened. I didn’t expect the ending and I thought it was a very good conclusion to the series. Although there were some loose ends. James Dashner created some very interesting and fun characters all of whom under go some development. There were some parts that I thought were a little rushed and could have used some more detail. But overall The Maze Runner series was amazing and I can’t wait to read the prequel to find out how it all started. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, some romance, suspense, and Sci-fi. #TheMazeRunner #TheScorchTrails #TheDeathCure #JamesDashner #TheKillOrder #action #adventure #romance #scifi #suspense #books #bookreviews #teenbookreviews #teenbooks #yabooks
Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end.
Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn’t done yet. Phase Two has just begun. The Scorch.
There are no rules. There is no help. You either make it or you die.
The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch—the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.
Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.
There are others now. Their survival depends on the Gladers’ destruction—and they’re determined to survive.

This book was also slow for me in the beginning, and it took me awhile to get through it. But i think i liked it better than the first. The new characters and plot twist left me wanting more. The Scorch Trails is filled with betrayals and surprising turns. Thomas seems to grow a lot and gain more leader like qualities. James Dashner created a very interesting story and characters. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series The Death Cure. I recommend this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, some romance, suspense, and Sci-fi. #TheMazeRunner #JamesDashner #action #adventure #scifi #TheScorchTrails #books #bookreviews #teenbookreviews #teenbooks #yabooks #TheDeathCure #romance #suspense
When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls. Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift. Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

This book was slow for me at first. It took me a while to really get into it but when I did I loved it. It was interesting to learn about the maze and the things going on in it. I do feel that the character development was lacking a bit. That’s something James Dashner could work on but the plot was amazing it captivated me and I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The ending blew me away and I can’t wait to start the second book in the series The Scorch Trials. I definitely recommended this book to teens who like books with action, adventure, and sci-fi.

This stunning conclusion picks up where Sapphire Blue left off, reaching new heights of intrigue and romance as Gwen finally uncovers the secrets of the time-traveling society and learns her fate.

I really enjoyed this series Kerstin Gier did an excellent job writing this series (and Anthea Bell did an amazing job translating it). Everything was well thought out and planned well. Although some parts were easy to predict some weren’t giving exciting endings to the chapters. I felt that the conclusion to the series was perfect and it tied up all the loose ends into a nice little bow. Gwen was an interesting character that I think went through a lot of change and growth throughout the series. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, romance, and suspense.
Gwen’s life has been a rollercoaster since she discovered she was the Ruby, the final member of the secret time-traveling Circle of Twelve. In between searching through history for the other time-travelers and asking for a bit of their blood (gross!), she’s been trying to figure out what all the mysteries and prophecies surrounding the Circle really mean.
At least Gwen has plenty of help. Her best friend Lesley follows every lead diligently on the Internet. James the ghost teaches Gwen how to fit in at an eighteenth century party. And Xemerius, the gargoyle demon who has been following Gwen since he caught her kissing Gideon in a church, offers advice on everything. Oh, yes. And of course there is Gideon, the Diamond. One minute he’s very warm indeed; the next he’s freezing cold. Gwen’s not sure what’s going on there, but she’s pretty much destined to find out.

This is another example of a series with a sequel just as good as the first book. Kerstin Gier wrote this book amazingly and explains every thing so well. Anthea Bell did an amazing job as well in translating the book. The characters under go a lot of character deveopment in Sapphire Blue. Once again Gwen is a likable and relatable character struggling to understand the events that are unfolding.I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, romance, and some suspense.
Gwyneth Shepherd’s sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era! Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon—the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust.

I really liked this book it kept me interested the whole time. Kerstin Gier did an amazing job writing this and coming up with the concepts, and the translator Anthea Bell did an excellent job rewriting the story. The time traveling concept was well thought out and explained perfectly. I really liked Gwyneth as a character she was funny and relatable. I can’t wait to start the second book in the series Sapphire Blue. I definitely recommended this book to teens who like books with action, adventure, romance, and some suspense.

I loved this series so much the ending was perfect and had a very surprising twist in it. Kiera Cass really knows how to captivate the reader and pull them in I couldn’t put the books down. Normally I don’t like really heavy romance stories but The Selection Series is an exception. The writing style and character development made it all the much better. America grew a lot as a character in the book and you see her take charge of her life. I read the series in 3 days and I’m stunned that I managed to do that. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with romance and lots of suspense.
