Thomas knows that Wicked can’t be trusted, but they say the time for lies is over, that they’ve collected all they can from the Trials and now must rely on the Gladers, with full memories restored, to help them with their ultimate mission. It’s up to the Gladers to complete the blueprint for the cure to the Flare with a final voluntary test.

What Wicked doesn’t know is that something’s happened that no Trial or Variable could have foreseen. Thomas has remembered far more than they think. And he knows that he can’t believe a word of what Wicked says.

The time for lies is over. But the truth is more dangerous than Thomas could ever imagine.
Will anyone survive the Death Cure?

This book had all kinds of twists and turns. There were a lot of times that I was very surprised with what happened. I didn’t expect the ending and I thought it was a very good conclusion to the series. Although there were some loose ends. James Dashner created some very interesting and fun characters all of whom under go some development. There were some parts that I thought were a little rushed and could have used some more detail. But overall The Maze Runner series was amazing and I can’t wait to read the prequel to find out how it all started. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, some romance, suspense, and Sci-fi. #TheMazeRunner #TheScorchTrails #TheDeathCure #JamesDashner #TheKillOrder #action #adventure #romance #scifi #suspense #books #bookreviews #teenbookreviews #teenbooks #yabooks

Solving the Maze was supposed to be the end.
Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn’t done yet. Phase Two has just begun. The Scorch.
There are no rules. There is no help. You either make it or you die.
The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch—the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.

Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.
There are others now. Their survival depends on the Gladers’ destruction—and they’re determined to survive.

This book was also slow for me in the beginning, and it took me awhile to get through it. But i think i liked it better than the first. The new characters and plot twist left me wanting more. The Scorch Trails is filled with betrayals and surprising turns. Thomas seems to grow a lot and gain more leader like qualities. James Dashner created a very interesting story and characters. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series The Death Cure. I recommend this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, some romance, suspense, and Sci-fi. #TheMazeRunner #JamesDashner #action #adventure #scifi #TheScorchTrails #books #bookreviews #teenbookreviews #teenbooks #yabooks #TheDeathCure #romance #suspense

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls. Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift. Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

This book was slow for me at first. It took me a while to really get into it but when I did I loved it. It was interesting to learn about the maze and the things going on in it. I do feel that the character development was lacking a bit. That’s something James Dashner could work on but the plot was amazing it captivated me and I wanted to know what was going to happen next. The ending blew me away and I can’t wait to start the second book in the series The Scorch Trials. I definitely recommended this book to teens who like books with action, adventure, and sci-fi.

Gwen has a destiny to fulfill, but no one will tell her what it is.

She’s only recently learned that she is the Ruby, the final member of the time-traveling Circle of Twelve, and since then nothing has been going right. She suspects the founder of the Circle, Count Saint-German, is up to something nefarious, but nobody will believe her. And she’s just learned that her charming time-traveling partner, Gideon, has probably been using her all along.

This stunning conclusion picks up where Sapphire Blue left off, reaching new heights of intrigue and romance as Gwen finally uncovers the secrets of the time-traveling society and learns her fate.

I really enjoyed this series Kerstin Gier did an excellent job writing this series (and Anthea Bell did an amazing job translating it). Everything was well thought out and planned well. Although some parts were easy to predict some weren’t giving exciting endings to the chapters. I felt that the conclusion to the series was perfect and it tied up all the loose ends into a nice little bow. Gwen was an interesting character that I think went through a lot of change and growth throughout the series. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, romance, and suspense.

Gwen’s life has been a rollercoaster since she discovered she was the Ruby, the final member of the secret time-traveling Circle of Twelve. In between searching through history for the other time-travelers and asking for a bit of their blood (gross!), she’s been trying to figure out what all the mysteries and prophecies surrounding the Circle really mean.

At least Gwen has plenty of help. Her best friend Lesley follows every lead diligently on the Internet. James the ghost teaches Gwen how to fit in at an eighteenth century party. And Xemerius, the gargoyle demon who has been following Gwen since he caught her kissing Gideon in a church, offers advice on everything. Oh, yes. And of course there is Gideon, the Diamond. One minute he’s very warm indeed; the next he’s freezing cold. Gwen’s not sure what’s going on there, but she’s pretty much destined to find out.

This is another example of a series with a sequel just as good as the first book. Kerstin Gier wrote this book amazingly and explains every thing so well. Anthea Bell did an amazing job as well in translating the book. The characters under go a lot of character deveopment in Sapphire Blue. Once again Gwen is a likable and relatable character struggling to understand the events that are  unfolding.I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with action, adventure, romance, and some suspense.

Gwyneth Shepherd’s sophisticated, beautiful cousin Charlotte has been prepared her entire life for traveling through time. But unexpectedly, it is Gwyneth, who in the middle of class takes a sudden spin to a different era!
Gwyneth must now unearth the mystery of why her mother would lie about her birth date to ward off suspicion about her ability, brush up on her history, and work with Gideon—the time traveler from a similarly gifted family that passes the gene through its male line, and whose presence becomes, in time, less insufferable and more essential. Together, Gwyneth and Gideon journey through time to discover who, in the 18th century and in contemporary London, they can trust.

I really liked this book it kept me interested the whole time. Kerstin Gier did an amazing job writing this and coming up with the concepts, and the translator Anthea Bell did an excellent job rewriting the story. The time traveling concept was well thought out and explained perfectly. I really liked Gwyneth as a character she was funny and relatable.  I can’t wait to start the second book in the series Sapphire Blue. I definitely recommended this book to teens who like books with action, adventure, romance, and some suspense.

I loved this series so much the ending was perfect and had a very surprising twist in it. Kiera Cass really knows how to captivate the reader and pull them in I couldn’t put the books down. Normally I don’t like really heavy romance stories but The Selection Series is an exception. The writing style and character development made it all the much better. America grew a lot as a character in the book and you see her take charge of her life. I read the series in 3 days and I’m stunned that I managed to do that. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with romance and lots of suspense.

Thirty-five girls came to the palace to compete in The Selection. All but six have been sent home. And only one will get to marry Prince Maxon and be crowned princess of Illéa.

America still isn’t sure where her heart lies. When she’s with Maxon, she’s swept up in their new and breathless romance, and can’t dream of being with anyone else. But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, she is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.

Just when America is sure she’s made her choice, a devastating loss makes her question everything again. And while she’s struggling to imagine her future, the violent rebels that are determined to overthrow the monarchy are growing stronger and their plans could destroy her chance at any kind of happy ending

I loved this book as much as the first one, although I was slightly annoyed towards the middle. The ending has a surprising twist that I sorta expected. I still love America although she can be so dumb at times. Kiera Cass did an amazing job with the plot line, descriptions, and of course the characters.  I can’t wait to get my hands on the last one in the series The One. I definitely recommended this series to teens who like books with romance and lots of suspense.

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn’t want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she’s made for herself and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

I absolutely loved this book!! I’m so excited to move onto the next book on the series The Elite. I surprised me I didn’t think I’d like it to much but I couldn’t put it down. I loved America she was such a strong character and I really liked her personality. This book sorta reminded me of the matched series mixed with the Batchelor (the TV show) I love Maxon and am hoping she’ll end up with him. Kiera Cass sure knows how to right a very suspenseful book. I definitely recommended this book to teens who like books with romance, mystery, and lots of suspense.
